Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you serve?
At Humble Roots Counseling we offer online professional mental health counseling services to any and all adult individuals living anywhere in Georgia (but primarily somewhere in Atlanta/Metro Atlanta) who have concerns relating to ADHD. These include but are not limited to: working adults, parents of children with ADHD, college students, young professionals, members of the LGBTQ+ community. All individuals must live in the State of Georgia to receive services, with the exception of coaching and consultation clientele.
*There are also a limited number of therapy spaces for serving those under the age of 18 years old but these spaces are limited and case-by-case.
What can I expect from therapy from a certified ADHD therapist?
Therapy with a certified ADHD therapist provides a supportive, judgment-free space tailored to your unique needs from a holistic approach. You can expect to explore practical strategies for managing time, focus, and emotional regulation, along with tools to navigate challenges like procrastination or overwhelm. Therapy also addresses co-occurring experiences like depression and anxiety, helping you understand how these intersect with ADHD and developing holistic strategies for your mental health. The goal is not just to cope but to thrive, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and empowerment every step of the way.
Do I have to have an ADHD diagnosis to meet with you?
You don’t need an ADHD diagnosis to work with me. While I specialize in ADHD, my practice is open to anyone seeking support. Whether you relate to ADHD traits, feel overwhelmed, or just want a space to explore your challenges, you’re welcome here—no diagnosis required.
How does coaching work?
While my background is in professional counseling and I have been practicing for over a decade, I’ve expanded my practice to help more people who want support but don’t qualify for counseling services one way or another. For many that live outside the state of Georgia, these services can be helpful but are NOT a replacement for therapy. These services are coaching and consultation support. Please send us an email via our '“Contact” tab for more information.
Do you offer no cost 15 minute consultations?
Yes! I’d love to set up a phone call or email thread to further discuss things. Please click our "Contact” tab at the top of the page and it will show you how to get in touch. *Please note that I (intentionally) do not have a phone number on this page and you’ll need to send me an email before scheduling a phone call.
How does payment work?
